A cantilever gate is a type of sliding gate that is suspended over the gate opening without the need for a track along the ground (Trackless Sliding Gate). Unlike traditional sliding gates that roll on wheels along a track, cantilever gates are supported by a system of 9 roller carriages installed on a concrete foundation. And the carriage moves inside a heavy C profile track welded below the gate frame.
- No Ground Track: One of the main characteristics of cantilever gates is that they do not have a track running along the ground. This eliminates the need for regular maintenance to keep the track clear of debris.
- Smooth Operation: Cantilever gates typically operate more smoothly and quietly than sliding gates with a ground track. The absence of friction with the ground allows for a smoother sliding motion.
- Suitability for Uneven Terrain: Cantilever gates are well-suited for locations where the ground is uneven or where installing a ground track would be challenging. The gate is supported by a counterbalance system that allows it to span variations in ground elevation.
- Reduced Maintenance: Because there is no ground track to maintain, cantilever gates often have lower maintenance requirements compared to traditional sliding gates.
- Wide Openings: Cantilever gates are suitable for gate openings from 3m upto 18 m. They are often used in industrial, commercial, and residential settings where a large entrance needs to be secured.
